LabTab is provided by Wetware Ltd. By creating an account or using the service you agree to the terms below. These terms sit alongside our privacy notice and, where applicable, any data processing addendum agreed with your institution.
Using the service
LabTab is operated by Wetware Ltd (wetware.ai) and is intended for academic, research, and operational use by lab teams. You remain responsible for ensuring your use of the service complies with your institution's policies.
Accounts may not be shared across individuals. Each user must register under their own credentials and keep them secure.
Your content
You retain ownership of the content you upload - notes, papers, datasets, and documents. By using the service you grant LabTab a limited license to host, display, and process that content solely in order to provide the product.
You are responsible for the content you upload. Wetware Ltd does not proactively screen user content but may remove content that violates these terms.
Fees and billing
Paid plans and billing are handled through the configured payment provider. Fees, renewal cadence, and refund terms are shown at checkout and are governed by the current backend subscription configuration.
Failure to pay applicable fees may result in suspension or termination of access to paid features.
Data protection
Wetware Ltd processes personal data in accordance with UK data protection law, including the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
Where LabTab processes personal data contained in your content on your behalf, we act as a processor under your direction. A data processing addendum is available on request.
Sub-processors currently engaged to deliver the service include Hetzner (hosting), Paddle (billing), Postmark (transactional email), and PostHog (product analytics). The current list and the data categories shared with each are described in our privacy notice.
Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access in the event of a material breach of these terms.
On termination your ability to use the service ends immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive (ownership, limitation of liability, governing law) will continue to apply.
Liability and governing law
The service is provided on an "as is" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the fees paid for the service in the six months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
